I spent a lovely night at this beautiful hall for the woman’s weekender. The house felt warm and welcoming, and my room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and crisp, clean linens. I had my own shower room, and saw lots of other stunning rooms as well. The drawing, reading and dining rooms were lovely too, and I enjoyed reading about the house’s history. I hope to stay again.
The grounds were immaculately kept, and the views were absolutely stunning, which made the stay feel special. We had a wonderful time at Skendleby Hall, where Amanda made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. She was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The rooms were comfortable, beautifully presented and full of character. It seems perfect for weddings, family gatherings or a relaxing getaway in beautiful surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and will definitely return. Highly recommended!
Amanda and Adrian made the weekend run so smoothly. Amanda was on hand with useful planning ideas, and Adrian’s personal wine tasting was a real highlight. The catering was delicious, and the cleaning team did a great job too. We had 26 people at Skendleby Hall to celebrate my 40th birthday last weekend, and there was loads of room without losing that luxurious feel. The interiors have lovely details, and the grounds are stunning. It felt like a genuinely special place, and we’re so glad we got to spend such a memorable weekend there. Thank you both for a wonderful stay.
Our room was so comfortable and beautifully presented, just right for unwinding after the Christmas celebrations. The Hall itself had a lovely festive atmosphere, with elegant surroundings and plenty of character. The food was outstanding, the wine kept flowing, and everyone was warm and attentive throughout. Every detail seemed carefully thought through. Skendleby Hall was a magical place for our Christmas celebration, and we can’t wait to come back.
We made good use of the hot tub, and though the grounds were a bit soggy during our stay, they were still beautiful. The location is close to the beaches, too. This was our large family group’s second visit to Skendleby. There’s plenty of room for everyone, whether self catering or gathering in a small or large group. Bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely and comfortable, with a useful mix of double and twin beds. For our celebration meal we used an approved caterer, The Chocolate Fairy, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. The meal was fabulous and served elegantly in the dining room. Skendleby Hall is a brilliant place for a big group.
