A nice, quiet hotel near the city center of St. Albans, with self-service check-in using a lockbox in the entry hall. St. Albans has a great farmers market on Saturday and a flea market on Sunday, plus lots of nice pubs and restaurants. The cathedral is beautiful. A great weekend trip.

The free parking and handy in-room fridge are big pluses, and the showers have great pressure. I’m here nearly every week, and the rooms are roomy and comfortable. It’s also in a great spot. I’d definitely recommend it.

It’s about a 15-minute walk to St Albans Cathedral. My room was spacious, quiet, clean, and tidy. Checkout at 10am felt a bit early.

Being just a few minutes from St Albans town, the station, and the Cathedral made this a great spot for our wedding weekend. One room even looks out over the Cathedral. We hired all six bedrooms at Torrington Hall for the weekend of 8th August and held our wedding party there. The owner was generous, accommodating, and helpful throughout, and we couldn’t fault him. We did our own catering and it all went smoothly. The rooms were bright, spotless, and glamorous, with decor fit for a king. We loved the property. They all had a fridge, tea and coffee, an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer, and more. It was a great find at a great price, and we’d like to come back next year for our first anniversary. Thank you, team.

The room was clean and nicely presented, and it was great. Just be aware that some other guests work shifts and may come in late, which can make a bit of noise.
