We paid £2,320 in full when we booked this accommodation in December 2017 for three nights. We had made clear it was for a very special party for my father's 95th birthday. Getting word just 10 days before the event that the Lodge could no longer host us was extremely disappointing. No explanation was given at the time, and the alternatives offered were completely unsuitable. We were very unhappy and would never book here again. Fortunately, we found the last two five-bedroom apartments at David Russell (University Halls) ourselves. They turned out to be excellent value for money, though that wasn't the point.

I wanted a night away in St. Andrews and booked here after a previous booking with another house from their company had been cancelled eight days before the stay. Airbnb customer service was good, I was told I was approved, and booking here went through fine. Then the company called, and the customer service was shocking. The woman on the phone kept interrupting and wouldn't let me speak. I was confused about why it had been cancelled again and got poor answers from the company. I won't book with them again. An absolute disgrace.

We're from the Netherlands and had to cancel because we needed to quarantine in the UK for 14 days. Unfortunately, the owner wouldn't give us a refund. Very disappointing.
