The location was ideal for exploring Edinburgh, while the hotel itself stayed peaceful and relaxing. What stood out was how well everything came together, from comfort and atmosphere to service and location. The staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived, and everyone was friendly, professional and happy to help. The Caledonian Edinburgh is stunning, with spacious, spotless, beautifully designed rooms and well-maintained, premium-feeling facilities. The bed sheets and pillows were some of the most comfortable I’ve experienced in any hotel, and after a long day, getting back into bed felt like pure luxury. My Scottish business trip felt genuinely special. I’d highly recommend it for a memorable stay, and we’ll definitely return.

We liked the spacious, comfortable room and the well-lit bathroom, especially the nice shower. Our window looked onto a plain courtyard structure, though, so there wasn’t much of a view. The location made getting around easy, with a short walk to Grassmarket and the rest of the old and new town. There’s no parking at the hotel, but they have an arrangement with a nearby car park. Breakfast had a good spread, and the breakfast staff were friendly and attentive. The concierge’s restaurant and sightseeing tips worked out well. Service was good overall, though the receptionists were a little less forthcoming in the couple of interactions we had with them.

The staff made this stay special. Everyone we met was kind, efficient, and enthusiastic about helping with our daily plans, and they made our 9-year-old son feel so special on his birthday trip to Edinburgh. Thank you to the whole team. We also loved having the pool to use every day. The room was magnificent, with a grand view of the castle, and breakfast was delicious. The location was very convenient: we could walk to everything and take the tram back to the airport.

The room service was spot on, and the ladies checked whether everything was all right or if we wanted a room turnover. We were welcomed with macaroons, and the room temperature was just right. Some rooms look toward Edinburgh castle. The spa was beautiful, with a jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, gym, training rooms, and water facilities dotted around. It’s a bit hidden and not easy to navigate, but following the signs and asking for help if you get lost should do it. I visited last week with a few ladies and enjoyed it more than I can say. From the men at the door to the amazing porters, the staff and concierge were pleasant, friendly, and helpful. I especially want to thank Holly, the organiser, for making sure we had such a good time together. This elegant Grade 2 listed building is a five-star luxury hotel right in the heart of Edinburgh. It feels like stepping into another dimension. It’s about a 20-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley station, and Johnny Walker studios is right opposite. I missed the afternoon tea, but heard it was awesome. We also had the hotel showcase and a spectacular dinner. The room, spa, and all the rest were lovely. There are plenty of retail shops, restaurants, and tourist things to do around the city centre, along with tram rides and bus tours. The bar and restaurant look stunning at night, and there’s a beautiful staircase that’s great for pictures. They don’t host wedding celebrations, though, mostly corporate events. Dinner and breakfast both showed real care and passion. The breakfast spread had drinks, meals, cereals, fresh fruit, and smoothies, with waitresses there to serve. There are spacious grand halls for special occasions and meeting rooms in different sizes. I’d recommend the hotel and hope to make more memories here.

The location is a real plus, with the main attractions easy to reach. The hotel café was another highlight, with delicious food and great quality, a nice place to relax over a meal or coffee. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and the bathrooms spotless. They aren’t very large, but they’re cozy and practical, so it was a comfortable stay.
