The main reason I’m unlikely to book again is how little was done when we reported problems to premier stays. They didn’t seem very concerned about sorting them out. We did enjoy our long weekend, but there were several issues: rubbish from previous guests was still in the living area and bedroom, and the bedroom blind was broken so we had no privacy. The freezer door covering fell off as soon as we opened it. Only half the hot tub bubbles worked at once, and there was no outside light by it. We also weren’t given instructions for the appliances, the hot tub, or the site rules.

The hot tub wasn’t working properly, and its cover had broken down enough to leave polystyrene in the water. The securing straps also needed replacing. There was a badly soiled towel left on the bed as if it were clean. The caravans looked nice, but the fixtures and fittings were poor quality in several places. I booked for a very short stay, and in my opinion this didn’t live up to the 5-star billing. It wasn’t the relaxing few days I’d hoped for.

The lodges are gorgeous, and the restaurant is okay, but there isn’t much to do on site. A swimming pool was being built, though work seems to have stalled for now. There isn’t much countryside walking nearby either. It is handy for golf in StAndrews.

We found the price very reasonable for the location and facilities, and I’d happily recommend the place and come back. It’s only a 10-minute drive from St.Andrews. The accommodation was lovely, clean, and well equipped. They’d even left a couple of washing pods, which we hadn’t expected and really appreciated after a sudden downpour.

At Luna Rossa Restaurant and Bar at Stewart’s Resort near St Andrews, the service was friendly and attentive, and they looked after all our needs promptly. The modern, welcoming setting made for a comfortable meal, with a good choice of dishes prepared using fresh, high-quality ingredients. I was thoroughly impressed and would recommend Luna Rossa Restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch meal in the St Andrews area.
