The wait for lunch had me a little disappointed at first, but once it arrived I was more than happy and understood why it took time. My Lasagne was freshly cooked and beautiful, just how I like it, on the dry side. Nice to have a choice of salad or veg as well. Well done to the chef and staff, I'll be back.

It's always busy and lively, with good people-watching and it's a nice place for drinks. The building and setting are beautiful, but the food took a long time: 45 minutes for three mains, and two orders were wrong. If you're impatient when waiting for food, it may not be worth it.

The chips were the best I've had in ages, and the fresh, traditional menu was very good value. Lovely staff too. We stopped in on the way to Dundee after hearing good things, and it lived up to them. Book ahead if you can, as it was popular. A walk at nearby Tentsmuir is a good way to stretch your legs after lunch.

The place has just reopened, and the people and service were lovely. Proper old-fashioned pub grub, which is hard to find now. I had the mac cheese and lasagne, both great. Definitely coming back!

We had a fantastic meal for a family celebration. The menu is original, portions are very generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the front-of-house service terrific. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. Stop by if you're passing, we'll definitely return.
