The breakfast room is open around the clock, with a whole bean coffee machine and a huge choice of tea bags. Breakfast itself is free and includes toast, cereal, crumpets, yoghurt, and fresh fruit. Martin and his wife were great hosts, and Kath was especially helpful. My wife said she'd had the best couple of nights' sleep in years. Our room was clean and tidy, and we can't wait to return.

The peaceful, magical garden at the back can be reached from every ground-floor room. The hosts, Lyn and Martin, were friendly and helpful, and the place was spotless, quirky, and interesting. Rooms have good facilities, with everything you need, and each has its own off-road parking space. You may also get a splendid continental-style breakfast at no extra cost. Shops, restaurants, and cafes are within a short walk, including Neils for a great full English. We stayed several nights while visiting our daughter, who's training in the area. A fabulous place to stay!

Parking right at the property was a real bonus, and it made getting out to other places easy. We were close to St Austell too. This was our second stay, and the room was lovely and clean, with thoughtful little touches and a nice atmosphere. The hosts are so helpful, nothing seems like too much trouble. My wife had stayed here with friends before, so we came back together for two nights. The owners made us feel welcome straight away, and breakfast was great. It’s a lovely place, and we’d definitely stay again. 5*
