Balnoon Inn

We weren't staying overnight, but were nearby and the place looked appealing, so we stopped in. The bar and restaurant felt warm and welcoming, and were impeccably clean, perhaps the cleanest spot I saw during my short visit to the St Ives area. I liked that it's a family-run business rather than part of a chain. The food was authentic and cooked just right. The owner told us they bought the place in January 2025 and are working to revive the brand. After trying several chefs, they think they've found the right person for the kitchen. I'd definitely return.

The Balnoon inn is tucked away in a lovely, quiet spot, just right for a relaxed meal. I had Sunday lunch and found it fantastic value: the roast was only £15. My lamb was tender and beautifully cooked, the roast potatoes were delicious, and there was a generous portion of vegetables. The service was excellent, hospitable and friendly. The recently new chef clearly takes pride in the food. I'd highly recommend it for dinner or Sunday lunch. You can also stay overnight, or, if travelling in a campervan, park for free and stop in for a drink or meal. A real hidden gem.

We stayed in our campervan on the premises, had some drinks and played a round of bingo. The staff were really welcoming and friendly. It's a very nice pub to visit, and I'd recommend stopping by. X

A great atmosphere, good music and lovely staff at the Balnoon pub/restaurant. We had a fantastic roast today, chicken for me and lamb for my Mrs, both cooked to perfection. I'd highly recommend it!
