Lower Trowan Cottage

The cottage is a good size, with a comfortable layout for four, a well-equipped kitchen and reasonable WiFi. We had a lovely holiday at Lower Trowan Cottage. It's tastefully decorated, with great sea views from the conservatory, and the quiet, secluded setting is nice when St Ives is so busy. There were a few things the owners could fix to improve the experience for future guests. The cleaners needed to be more thorough, especially on the conservatory sofa, and there was thick dust under the beds and drawer units. Some maintenance was needed too: more wardrobe hangers would help with the limited clothing storage, the cooker hob and oven need instructions since all the signage has rubbed off, the kitchen tap washers need replacing, the shower selector valve doesn't work so water comes from both the overhead and handle attachment, and the shower plug overflows. These issues shouldn't put you off staying. We recommend the 50 minute coastal walk into St Ives. There are also amazing views from nearby Trevalgan and Rosewall hill, reachable within a 30 minute walk.
