There's an easy way into town, though the walk back is harder and will give you an appetite. The gardens have some weather damage, and work is still underway. The laminated safety notices about hot and slippery areas make sense, but they don't look very professional. The location in West Cornwall is great, with stunning views and helpful, friendly staff. The restaurants serve good quality food at fair prices for guests and locals, a great combination.

We stayed in The Gables self-catering apartment with the family last weekend. The staff were amazing throughout and took care of every need without question. The facilities on site were great, and the views were stunning. One small gripe: the bedroom ceilings slope inward, so you have to watch your head when getting out of bed. That's specific to The Gables, not the other room options. We also would have liked a washing machine for the kids' clothes after trips to the local beaches, though I know that's a bit petty. We'll definitely return.

The Valentine's dinner was fabulous. Harriet and her team did a lovely job, with amazing service as always, delicious food adapted for my allergy needs, and a brilliant singer for the entertainment. I live locally, so I haven't needed to stay in the rooms.

We were there for an evening event and didn't use a room. The place is very pleasant for events, with plush surroundings and friendly, helpful staff. Erin at the bar was especially helpful. As it was nighttime, I couldn't see the surroundings. The car park could use better lighting, and the signs for the car park and exit could be clearer.
