La Trelade Hotel

Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked, and the man who served us was so kind. Thanks for the lovely cappuccino! The beds were comfortable, and everything, from the rooms to the rest of the hotel, was very clean. We liked the slightly dated interior, it has its own charm and is well maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help. We loved our stay and would definitely return. I think the bad reviews are incredibly unfair.

We didn't stay overnight, but ate here several times. The staff were wonderful and helpful, the service was great, and the food and atmosphere were both pleasant.

After Aurigny Airlines cancelled my flight to London, I ended up staying here by accident. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, helping me in every way they could and making a difficult situation a little easier. I’m so grateful. The price felt a little high to me, but the help made it worth it. The lasagna was good too.

For £160 a night, I expected better. The cooked breakfast choices were limited, and the ingredients felt cheap: a small square sausage and one piece of bacon. When I asked for two poached eggs, I was told the second would cost extra. Options like mushrooms on toast or scrambled eggs on toast weren’t what I had in mind, and there was no fruit unless you wanted to peel a banana. The room was dated, the curtains had holes, the towels were thin and hard, and there was a dusty-looking line of carpet around the bed where it never gets moved or hoovered. I booked at the last minute, but I won’t stay again. They won’t miss me, either.
