We had a lovely bathroom with a roll-top bath, plus a separate dressing room, and the room itself was enormous. The window seats looked out over the gardens, which we also enjoyed walking around. The online information didn’t make it clear whether you’d be staying in the old mansion or beside it, but you’re actually inside the mansion. It felt like stepping back in time, and it was amazing. Chloe was a wonderful host and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was nice too. We’d definitely stay again.

Hi Gareth and Chloe, It’s been two months since our joint wedding and 40th birthday celebration was cancelled with just 24 hours’ notice. People were travelling from all over the country, as well as from Indonesia, and the whole situation has been incredibly stressful and unprofessional. We understand the cancellation was due to boiler problems and water in the ballroom, and that sometimes things happen beyond your control. What we can’t accept is the complete lack of help or response from your team. We’ve tried several times to contact the venue by email, phone and text, and have been ignored. After you finally got in touch, your email addresses were shut down. Cancelling the event by email and then ignoring us is shocking. At the very least, we need the almost £6,500 we paid refunded. Your email also said your insurance would compensate us for additional costs we couldn’t cancel at such short notice. Please contact me urgently so we can start sorting this out. From what people in the Facebook group have said about having the same experience, it’s hard not to wonder if you’re trying to scam people. Are you trying to hide from this, or what? The rooms are huge, the beds are really comfortable and the bathroom is lovely. The shower was amazing too. Chloe was so friendly and helpful, and seemed to take care of everything we needed. All I can say is, beautiful. Highly recommend.

Chloe at reception couldn’t have been more helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were huge, and there was loads of free parking. It’s a beautiful hotel in a very quiet location. I’d give it six stars if I could.
