It's easy to get into Stamford Bridge on foot, about seven minutes, and the village has all you need: pubs, Chinese food, a fantastic Indian, a quality butcher, a bakery, and a well stocked Co-op. We booked through Hoseasons after reading the reviews. Weir Park called to say our caravan was ready early, so we could check in before 4, and we were shown to it quickly. It matched the description, had everything we needed, was very clean, and had a good layout. The site is quiet and split into two areas, one for static caravans and another for tourers and tents. Many residents own caravans there and keep their pitches tidy. There's also a dog field on site. We have a dog, and loved being able to find great walks within about 30 minutes by car. We usually stay in lodges, which can be a bit remote, so this site wins by a mile. We enjoyed our two week holiday so much that we've booked another week in October. A great place.

We pitched by a picturesque pond and had fun feeding the ducks. The campsite was quiet, friendly, and relaxed. In Stamford Bridge we had a lovely curry at the Bay of Bengal, and just up the road we found a magical woodland walk through forgotten fairyland at 'Dreamery Gardens'. A lovely stay!

Stamford Bridge was lovely, very pretty, with great places to eat. The caravan itself was just average, an old, tired unit with a few nasty bits and bobs inside. It might feel like a rural idyll if you aren't expecting a river and weir view, but the constant noise was so bad that I wanted to go out and buy earplugs straight away. I thought the sound would be calming, which was my mistake. It wasn't.

Nearly perfect, but the caravan was a little tilted and felt unstable. Even ordinary walking made it shake enough for someone at the other end to feel it. The cupboard doors slid on their own, caught my fingers, and hurt me. Future guests should be warned.

Fantastic, quiet site. The toilet and wash rooms are nice. It's a five minute walk into Stamford Bridge, where there's everything you need, including pubs, food outlets, and a Co-op supermarket.
