The owner refused to let our group stay, even though we'd done nothing wrong. There were five men of mixed ages. The explanations sent to Booking.com referred to previous trouble with unwanted guests who weren't on a booking, and who had stolen from and trashed rooms. That wasn't our group or our booking, so it wasn't our fault. The customer service was rude and the behaviour appalling. We still haven't received a refund, and we won't book here again. Avoid this place.

It's only a five-minute walk into Stamford centre, which made the location perfect for us. We had a lovely clean room, a comfortable bed and a fabulous bathroom, among the nicest rooms we've stayed in. There are only a few parking spaces and they're first come, first served, though we had no trouble getting one. Would highly recommend.

The owner was very nice, and we'd happily stay again. Our room was nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. It's conveniently placed for the town centre, and having parking available was great.

We were three friends sharing the family room, and it was great to have two separate bedrooms. The beds were wonderfully cosy and the room was very warm. Check-in was easy and convenient, and while it was close to the centre of Stamford, it wasn't noisy.

I left something behind when I checked out, and the owners kindly offered to help send it to me in Norwich. They were generous and flexible. The rooms were fantastically clean, tidy and well-equipped, and this is a great place to stay.
