The lively Cheryl made sure we had everything we needed, and breakfast was served when we wanted it. Our room was beautifully decorated, with the most comfortable bed in the world and plenty of tea, coffee and toiletries. We stayed overnight for a wedding at Matfen Hall. Absolutely lovely B&B, we'd happily come back and can't recommend it enough.

Freshly cooked breakfast with top quality ingredients, and a peaceful village setting overlooking the green. There's a simple but characterful pub, Swinburne Arms, just down the road. The welcome was warm and friendly, and everything was comfortable. Best B&B I've stayed at in the UK. I'd give it six stars if I could!

The breakfast was great, and our hostess was lovely. The large bedroom had loads of character and was spotlessly clean, with a really comfortable bed I didn't want to leave. The en suite shower was fabulous too. Probably the best B&B we've stayed in. Hopefully we'll be invited to Maften Hall again so we can spend another night in 3 northside.
