The rooms were disappointing too. The AC was completely broken in several of them. When someone asked reception to borrow a power adapter, the staff treated it like a huge inconvenience and limited the loan to exactly 5 minutes. The beds are on wheels and don't lock properly, so they slide across the floor if you lean on them, which feels like a serious fall hazard. We were there for a Ryanair training session, and the hotel seemed unable to cope with a large group. The staff appeared overwhelmed and were very rude. At breakfast, they got angry when people wanted to take food to go, called us "animals" and made insulting remarks. We felt watched the whole time, and they blamed us for food shortages just because someone asked for a takeaway bag. The service was an absolute joke, with no basic hospitality. The 3.9 Google rating is definitely overrated. I strongly advise against staying here, especially with an organized group. Avoid at all costs.

The price was fantastic, the beds and rooms were good, dinner was included, and they lent me a socket converter for my phone free of charge. I had a great stay, though there wasn't much lounge space in the lobby. Getting there on foot is difficult. The bus transfer costs 6€, which is overpriced. If you don't want to pay, you have to cross streets and mud.

A comfortable hotel for a great price, with a decent breakfast included. The shuttle takes about 5 mins to Stansted airport and costs £4 one way. There's also a McDonald's and an M&S petrol station next door. Recommended!

We felt welcome, and the Express Café & Bar team were genuinely friendly. We stayed on October 22nd and again on the 25th, then checked out early on the 26th. It was handy being able to take some breakfast items with us, though one of the apples was rotten inside. The airport buses don't allow drinks onboard, so guests often have to throw away full cups outside. It might help if the hotel mentioned that. The room we had on the 22nd didn't seem properly cleaned: the couch smelled, the table was sticky, the bedside surfaces were dusty and there was what looked like a stain in the bathroom. The takeaway breakfast and cleanliness could be better.
