Marie and Claude. August 2025. We loved our four nights here and enjoyed every minute. The welcome was warm, the hosts were helpful and pleasant, and breakfast was lovely. The accommodation was cosy and the setting was exceptional. We highly recommend it.

There are lovely walks nearby and some good pubs just a short drive away. We’d love to come back in summer to see the garden full of flowers on sunny days. The cottage itself is pretty and has everything needed to relax, and it could work well for a family trip too. Jenna brought us a delicious breakfast, which we ate looking out over open countryside. It’s a memorable spot if you’re after a quiet break surrounded by nature.

We wished we could have stayed longer. The owners were so welcoming, and the make your own breakfast they provided was delicious. It’s a peaceful countryside setting with lovely views, and the accommodation was clean, comfortable and had modern features. We felt at home and would definitely recommend a visit. We hope to return.

The grounds have little surprises for children, while still feeling peaceful enough to properly relax. Inside, the contemporary design is softened by a warm, inviting feel, and the bedding was wonderfully sumptuous. Bootmenders is even more special in person than the photos can show. A huge thank you to Jenna and her welcoming family for making room for us at short notice despite the difficult circumstances. The location is stunning and the accommodation was wonderful.
