Stevenage Apartments

The apartment looked good and was generally well kept, but the beds were dusty and had debris on them, including carpet dust, hairs, and wood chippings. The mattress topper and protective covers were stained too. There wasn’t a working vacuum cleaner available.

My family, including our four children, had to wait over three hours beyond the 14.00 check-in time before we could get into the property. Several days after we left, I was hit with a £300 charge for a damaged bed headboard and sofa, plus carpet stains, none of which had happened. We’d been warned before leaving about these kinds of practices, so we took photos as a precaution. Even with that evidence to dispute the claims, the company is keeping our deposit and asking for another £150. That’s completely unjustified, and I have no choice but to take legal action to get my money back. I’ll share some of the photos to show how unfairly we’ve been treated. This has been disheartening. I strongly advise others to use the service at their own risk, and expect a prompt reply and a fair resolution. Ethical, transparent business practices matter, and the company’s reputation is at stake. I hope they reconsider and put this right.

The Stevenage apartment was lovely and in a great location. Portfolio gave us another really nice welcome. I’d love to stay again!

Very handy area to stay in, with a Tesco Express right across the road that’s open 24 hours.
