We were greeted pleasantly at reception, but the constant traffic noise was extreme, and the double glazing and soundproofing weren’t enough to block it. Don’t expect much, if any, sleep. Skipton is a 20 minute walk away, and there’s no food on site apart from Burger King/Greggs. A nearby farm shop has a nice cafe, but stops serving food at 15:30, so otherwise you have to get back in the car and drive. I booked at the last minute and didn’t check other hotels. Travelodge is usually reliable, but I’ll know better next time.

Two staff members were lovely and friendly, though another didn’t acknowledge us when we came or went. The rooms are shabby and dated, with missing bits of trim and dirty walls, but the bed linen was clean. The bathroom extractor fan was broken, so it got too steamy to use the mirror for makeup. With two of us, there weren’t enough sockets to charge our phones, and I had to unplug the TV. Free Wi-Fi lasted only 30 minutes a day, and the complimentary coffee was disgusting. Luckily Greggs is next door, and the Farm shop nearby had good takeaway coffee and a cafe. It’s a nice little 30 min walk into Skipton.

It was cheap and basic, but comfortable and fine for what I needed. Parking is pretty limited, to be honest. And I had to run around the bath to get wet under the shower lol!

I had a lovely short stay and the room was clean. The chap working the evening reception shift on 09/04/26 was so welcoming and helpful. He’s a real credit to the company.

We were a little concerned after all the negative press lately, but security was very good and the desk was manned the whole time. Our room was clean, though a bit dated. The staff were presentable, polite and helpful.
