It feels completely like home whenever I stay at the Thorlee, and I’ve been back numerous times. The rooms are modern and have everything you might need. Staff aren’t around all the time, but you can reach them by mobile if needed. Breakfast is really nice and comes out quickly. Excellent value for money, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Thorlee to anyone. Mr B McCaig Glasgow
There was no customer service at this establishment. I had a confirmed two-night booking through one of the UK’s largest business travel bookers, but when I arrived, the owner had sold my room. You can’t reach them directly, only leave a message on an answering machine when there’s a problem and hope they call back. There were no rooms available in Stornoway that night, so it looks like the owner may have sold the room at a higher price. This kind of guest house gives Scottish tourism a bad name. Stay clear! I’d book at the Braighe House Guest House instead, they understand customer service.
