Avonpark House

Room 4 is spacious, with a huge king size bed, and you can step out to the decking through the french doors. There’s a fridge and a fan, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Lovely bed and breakfast, with friendly owners and plenty of breakfast choices.

We had a lovely stay in Stratford, with lovely weather. May 2025. The location is good and there’s parking. It’s at least a 20 minute walk into town, and if you need to drive in, we recommend Windsor Shopping Car Park, just at the top of Henley Street. The Old Tramway is a pub 4 minutes away for an evening meal, though the food is passable. The two outer doors are extremely heavy and take a hard push to open. The double room felt cramped for two adults and two suitcases, and the toilet, basin and shower are in a cupboard with no elbow room. Still, the room and toilet were spotless. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well, even by the main road. If you get cold, switch on the radiator under the window. Breakfast was good, with everything you could want for a continental or cooked meal. My mushrooms and tomato were nearly raw, so ask for them to be well cooked. The man was very accommodating with anything we asked for. I’d recommend the place for a short stay.

We stayed for two nights, Dec 7th and 8th, and have been here several times now. Martin and Maria are always warm and welcoming. Our room was lovely and clean, and breakfast was amazing as ever, with lots of choices. It’s a lovely location, just a short stroll to town. Definitely recommend, and we’ll be back again next year.
