Astyn made a lovely first impression at check-in. She was warm, professional and engaging, and went out of her way to help. The whole team seemed efficient and well organised, but also genuinely caring. Even with several large events happening that evening, our stay went smoothly. The hotel is very well placed in Stratford, just a short walk from town, the theatre and the waterfront. Our room was spacious, and the bed was so comfortable it felt heavenly. There was plenty of seating in the bar and lounge, and service there stayed smooth even when it got busy.

Ella at the front desk made our stay especially good. She was thoughtful, kind and professional, and gave us three nights of free parking, which was so kind as my mother and I are both disabled. The breakfast was fresh and excellent, and the service was great too. I stayed for three nights for my 61st birthday, paid for by my 82 year old mother. We’ve been members for about 15 years and keep wanting to come back as a family. We’ll definitely return. Ella deserves a pay rise or promotion. Many thanks from David and Pamela Wagstaff.

It was our first stay here, booked as a surprise by my partner for our third anniversary. We were amazed by the hotel. As we walked in, my partner said it felt like entering a hotel in a foreign country. The receptionist was polite and told us about the many events taking place that evening, but none of them affected our plans. We enjoyed drinks in the bar with its lovely, kind staff, and could see the fire pit outside. We also had access to the lounge. Our room was spacious and clean, with an amazing, comfy bed. We didn’t have time to try all the facilities, but the whole stay was lovely. I’ve booked again for longer and can’t wait to return. Thanks to the team. Claire

We got a king room upgrade this time, with a view of the theatre. It was spacious, with a comfy bed, seating area, tea, coffee, biscuits, a fridge and complimentary water. There was also a large flat screen TV, plenty of sockets with USB ports, a hairdryer, and an iron and ironing board. Breakfast had lots of choice and was clean and piping hot, with plenty of staff around to help. The vegan options were a little limited, but we didn’t go hungry. Takeaway coffee cups were handy for the journey home. The bar and outdoor area had lots of comfortable seating. We didn’t use the small pool this time, though it was well maintained when we used it before. We’ve stayed many times, starting with our honeymoon 24 years ago. With four small children and few childcare options, we couldn’t travel far or for long. The location is perfect, and on site parking is a bonus, though it’s charged. I’m sure we’ll be back.
