Penwyth House

We loved every moment of our stay and felt right at home. The atmosphere was warm, friendly and peaceful, and breakfast was delicious 😋. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden and stargazing at night. Mark and Lisa are wonderful, always there if you have a question or need anything, and happy to suggest beautiful spots to visit around Cornwall. Highly recommend staying here. We'll definitely be back. X

The room was lovely, and the whole house was spotless. Mark and Lisa made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. We spent Easter weekend there for a break, and the delicious breakfast rounded it off. A* bed and breakfast.

I was sorry to leave Penwyth house. It felt peaceful and almost spiritual, with flowers in the garden and little birds singing outside. After noisy London, waking to that was so relaxing. The place itself is beautiful, and I loved the area. I’d had surgery in Hayle the day before arriving, and the hosts went out of their way to let me come in early and rest. They were kind and helpful throughout, even lending me a coat and wellies so I could explore a bit of Cornwall despite my stitches. They also got me to the airport safely. Breakfast was 10 out of 10, and I enjoyed chatting over cups of tea with the hosts and other guests. It all felt homely, like being part of the family, and everyone seemed relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble, and I was looked after so well. A wonderful place with wonderful hosts. Thank you for everything, I’d highly recommend it.

The hosts were the best part of our four nights in Cornwall. Lisa and Mark made us feel at home, and their tips for places to visit around Newquay were great. We’ll remember the stay for a long time. Our Crantock room was immaculate, with a bath and en suite. Breakfast had plenty of good options, and the Whippets were lovely to meet. They’re so quiet and well behaved that you’d hardly know they were in the house. My girlfriend and I had a memorable time exploring Newquay and the surrounding area.
