Ana and her partner gave us such a lovely welcome and really took care of us throughout the stay. The house was tidy and very clean, and the breakfast was amazing. It feels peaceful and tucked away, but the town centre is still just a short walk away. We enjoyed our visit so much that we’ll definitely stay again. Lovely hosts, nicely run, and highly recommended.

Ana and Andre are warm, friendly, helpful hosts who know the area well, and Andre’s cooking is a real highlight. Breakfast has a much wider choice than usual, with all sorts of lovely food. The Water Edge is set in its own grounds with plenty of parking, and the garden runs down to the river Avon, with tables and chairs for guests. The house and our room were spacious, stylish, light, and luxurious, and everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was new and had a roomy shower. I can’t rate this special B & B highly enough.

The owners, Anna and Andre, are so welcoming and always ready to help. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty on offer, and the guest house itself is lovely. It’s close enough to walk into town, and it backs onto the river, so there are lovely views and wildlife to see. The current owners have had the place for just over a year and are doing a fantastic job after being left in at the deep end by the previous owner, locally known as the dragon lady. From our experience, the negative reviews are completely unjust. Highly recommended if you’re visiting the area.

The rooms are small, as they are in the UK, and that’s part of the charm. I liked having an actual key, and the colour-coded room designs made it easy to know which room was ours. The water taxi runs roughly from 10 to 5, and it makes getting around town on foot easy without worrying about the car. You need to start at the usual pickup point, though the taxi can drop you off at your place. The ride is an adventure in itself, and John knows a lot about local history. The staff are a couple: Andre is a chef who loves food and travel, and Anna went above and beyond to help find something my other sister had left behind.

Our hosts thought of everything we could need, and they made us feel as if their home was ours. The accommodation is superb and in a beautiful location. Thanks to Andre and Ana for making our long weekend such a wonderful experience. We highly recommend it and will certainly visit again. ❤️👍
