We felt more welcome here than we have anywhere in a long time, thanks to the marvellous staff. The Strontian Hotel on Loch Sunart is a real gem, with a sublime setting and a good pub and restaurant that make for a pleasant stay. The drinks arrived cold, and the food was spectacular.

The views are incredible, and we had a really nice meal today with my dad and brother. All the food was great. The young woman serving us was a credit to the place, though I never caught her name.

We were staying in the village and managed to book a table for Sunday evening at the last minute. I went for the sirloin steak, and it was a real treat, cooked perfectly with a lovely Chorizo sauce, chips and fresh salad. Service from the three young women on duty was excellent. Well done, team 👍

We'd happily go back after the excellent pub food and drink. We were staying at the nearby campsite and walked over for dinner, both ordering steak. The server spotted that ours were closer to rare than the medium we'd asked for and sent them back. They also took the cost of our wine off the bill for the inconvenience. Top marks for customer service!
