On arrival, the host's two dogs ran to the front gate and bit one of the walkers in our group. With no signs warning about the dogs, it came as a shock. The host offered wet wipes and Savlon cream, but showed little concern for our friend. There was no apology or follow-up the next morning to check she was all right. Breakfast portions were very small, the poorest we had on the Cotswolds Walk. A very disappointing stay.

The hosts shared useful local tips, and walkers will find incredible routes right on the doorstep. I found the stay very affordable, with a comfortable memory foam mattress, luxury bed linen, and a good breakfast. The coffee was a 10/10, which is hard to find in the UK. Thank you!

It was fun hearing Charles talk about his family's long history while we looked at the large portraits and imagined them hanging in the manor house they must once have belonged to. We loved staying in this charming 300-year-old farmhouse. It's been modernized for comfort but still has its lovely wonky, squeaky character. We were warmly welcomed, the beds were super comfy, and breakfast was great. We could easily have stayed another day.

Our first bed and breakfast experience was a fantastic one. Charles was attentive and welcoming, and a very nice chap. The cosy, clean house had comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious, especially the sausages and eggs, fresh from the garden chickens. We'd certainly recommend staying here if you're in the area!
