The room had a lovely sea view, and the house is on a very quiet street by the sea. A lovely lady welcomed me. Everything was impeccable, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were clean. I liked being able to make myself a coffee when I woke up. I’ll definitely come back.

We had a lovely weekend. The staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was magnificent. They kept checking whether we wanted more. It’s a lovely guesthouse, highly recommended, and we’ll certainly be back. Thank you, and I hope to stay again soon.

The location, food, rooms and lovely owners all made this one of the nicest guesthouses I’ve stayed at. I’d highly recommend the Ashbourne to anyone planning a visit to the North East. You definitely won’t regret it.

The welcome was there from the very start, and the room was fantastic. Breakfast was out of this world too. This has to be the best guest house we’ve ever stayed in. We’d have no hesitation recommending it to anyone. A wonderful place to stay.

Robert and Lesley were so welcoming and friendly, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Robert cooked a lovely breakfast to order.
