Moor Hall Hotel Spa

We came back to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, combining an overnight stay with the complimentary afternoon tea voucher we received after our wedding here in May 2025. It was definitely worth it. On one of the hottest days recorded in May 2026, a pleasant young lady served us afternoon tea, then we took a relaxed walk to cool down in the woodlands. We tied our ribbons to the tree there, something we'd run out of time to do the previous year. That evening, we had food and drinks on the terrace and took photos in the sunken garden, bringing back memories of our wedding. The next morning at buffet breakfast, the maitre d recognised us from our first visit and came over for a lovely chat. She was so warm and pleasant, and clearly great at hospitality. I wish I'd caught her name. See you next year.

It was such a lovely place to spend a sunny bank holiday. I sat at a shaded table in the grounds watching the golfers and taking in the beautiful surroundings during my visit for the Prestige business awards. The staff were extremely helpful and patient with all my questions.

The breakfast wait was frustrating. We sat around half an hour before finding out they'd forgotten to put our room number on the list, so people who'd arrived after us were seated first. Dinner was disappointing too: the portions were small enough that we ordered food in, and although we asked for peppercorn sauce and never got it, we were still charged for it. I stayed at Moor Hall Hotel for one night on 23rd May, expecting a lovely visit based on what I'd heard. Instead I was really let down by the cleanliness and the experience overall. Tables were messy, there was litter on the spa floor, and I saw a toenail there, which made me feel sick and uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend a stay, especially because of the poor cleanliness and service. The images I've provided show what we experienced.

The Christmas Vegas event was well organised, and the staff stayed very attentive despite how many guests there were. The waiting staff handled what can be a demanding event really well. I also had a delicious breakfast the next morning. My recently renovated standard room was lovely, spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. I'd definitely recommend the hotel.
