The courtyard view from our spacious room was lovely, and the bed was very comfortable, though the pillows were a bit soft. We stayed in October 2025, and the hotel and grounds are beautiful. The room’s older furniture gives it a traditional feel. The bathroom was clean but felt dated and cold, and the room got chilly in the evening; staff gladly turned on the heating when we asked. There are no lifts, but that was fine for us as we didn’t have much luggage. Staff were welcoming and had called before our stay. We had a few requests, and they did their best to help. We missed breakfast and the spa because we had an early start for a family event, but hope to return for a celebration or anniversary.

The accommodation and food were excellent, and the staff serving us that evening were friendly and efficient, including Pedro, Isabelle and Cameron. I held a private party at Newhall hotel for my mother’s 70th birthday on Sunday 18th January 2026, and the service impressed me from the planning stage right through the event. Rebecca was especially helpful and efficient, a real credit to the team. I’d highly recommend Newhall Hotel for a private party.

We’ve stayed at the new hall several times and always have an amazing time. The staff are helpful and polite, and Summer deserves special thanks for organising and supporting us through the wedding preparations. We had our wedding there and it was fantastic. Highly recommended!

The staff were warm, attentive and friendly the whole time, which really made the stay. We came for a late Christmas break with four families, the grandparents and three dogs, and it couldn’t have worked out better. There are lovely grounds, spacious comfortable rooms, and the swimming pool was a real bonus. Thanks for such a wonderful stay.

The spa was relaxing and clearly well cared for, and the restaurant food was lovely. Our room was roomy and very clean, and everyone on staff was welcoming and friendly. I really liked this hotel, had a perfect stay and would happily return.
