We had a group of 20 at Lydney House for my sister’s 50th birthday and had such a lovely time. The en-suite rooms meant no one had to share bathrooms, and the two big dining tables gave everyone plenty of space for our private chef from Bay & Fig Events, who were amazing as always. The basement was a great addition, though our karaoke machine wouldn’t work down there because the Wi-Fi wasn’t strong enough. The weather wasn’t great, so we didn’t use the hot tubs. We’ll definitely book again and would recommend the house for big gatherings.

We had a great time at Lydney House Hotel, especially in the underground party cave, which was just right for our Casino Royale themed evening. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a fancy three-course dinner, and there’s plenty to do around the house, from the pool table, foosball and air hockey to the hot tubs. The en-suite rooms and roomy lounges were lovely too. It’s only a short walk to the town centre and Saturday market. I’d love to come back.

There’s so much room for children and babies, with travel cots, high chairs and even toys. The outdoor space is great too, and the two hot tubs were very clean. Every bedroom is a good size, has its own bathroom, and comes with lovely clean, crisp bedding. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need and then some, including three large fridge-freezers and two dishwashers. The dining and living space connects to the bar, which is a lot of fun. We couldn’t think of anything to add to this superb stay. Thank you.

We’ve booked again for our third stay and can’t wait. There were 14 of us at Lydney house for a long weekend, with plenty of room to spend time together. The two hot tubs were fantastic, and all the rooms had en-suites and were very similar. The location is great too, just a five-minute walk into the centre of Swaffham.

We had a great time with our big group of friends at this lovely house. The hot tubs were a big hit, and we all enjoyed the stay. Some parts are a little dated and could use an update, and having more outdoor space would have been a bonus. I just wish the place were a bit more up to date.
