Millbrook Guest House

We’ve already told our friends about this lovely B&B. It’s well placed for the town and local amenities, and the house feels peaceful, homely and very comfortable. Even our room at the front was quiet. Kevin and Lynn were so helpful and accommodating. We arrived on Sunday after the supermarket had closed, so we couldn’t get the wine we’d planned to enjoy by the fire while watching TV in the snug. Kevin kindly came out with two large glasses of wine and a bowl of crisps. Such a thoughtful gesture.

Rivendell is a handy base for walking the South West Coastal path. Town is only a short walk away, with plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Lyn was welcoming and made sure we had what we needed. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed, too. We really enjoyed our stay.

The place is beautiful throughout, and the peaceful street is easy to find and park on. The Co-op is less than a minute away, and the beachfront is about five minutes on foot. Lyn made everything easy and was a lovely host. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. Our host gave us a warm welcome and was helpful both during our stay and with suggestions for visiting town. The station is just two minutes away, and it’s a five-minute walk to the centre and beach.
