Garden Retreat

The garden was a mess, with tree debris and bird droppings spread over the patio. Inside, dirt and rubbish from earlier guests had clearly been left behind: a yoghurt lid dated 8/11 when the current date was 12/5, cake crumbs under the sofas and sofa bed cushions and along the skirting boards, snack wrappers in bedside drawers, and lollipop sticks under the dining table and behind bedside cabinets. The towels were stained and badly worn, so I wouldn’t call them clean. The house was filthy during our awful three-night stay, and it backs onto Jewsons’ industrial premises, with drilling and other building noise all day. I’d advise people to choose somewhere else.
