The rooms are huge and have everything you could need, with plenty of local knowledge from the hosts too. They were perfect hosts and couldn't do enough for us. The food was cooked just right every time.

The food was excellent, and it's only a few minutes' walk to the beach. Our room was quiet, the bed really comfortable, and everything felt lovely. The Rookery is spotless, with such attention to detail: the bedding and furniture were lovely, and the huge windows were so clean they almost disappeared. We felt genuinely welcome as soon as we arrived. This is one of the best places I've stayed, and I'd happily give it more stars. Highly recommend it. Thanks for having us, and I hope we can come back soon!

Alan and Charlene were such welcoming, helpful hosts, and breakfast was cooked perfectly. My mum and I stayed two nights. The location is excellent, and our room was delightful and very clean. If we're back in Swanage, we'll definitely stay here again. We can't recommend The Rookery enough.

We had a really lovely four-night stay at the Rookery Bed and Breakfast. The location is great, just two minutes from the beach, and Alan's local knowledge came in handy. The room was really nice and breakfast was tasty too. Alan and Charlene were lovely. I'll miss my morning chats with Alan over breakfast. We hope to return one day!

The room and bed were so comfortable, and the modern en suite shower and toilet were a real plus. We stayed a few nights, and the welcome on arrival was warm and efficient. The breakfast menu had plenty of choice, and the tea and coffee were the best we've had. There's also a lounge and bar with reasonably priced drinks and well-kept ales. It's close to the seafront and everything in town. Simply the best B and B we've stayed in.
