We’ve just come back from a week here, our third visit. This time we had a lovely lodge with a hot tub, well equipped with quality fittings. The hot tub was private and secluded, and there was a large deck with outdoor furniture. Staff on site were friendly and helpful. The golf course was great, and the clubhouse serves food. The park is easy to find and close to many places. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. I could easily have stayed longer.

Even though the site is large, it stays quiet and peaceful. Our hot tub lodge on Leaf Lane was spacious, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The park’s facilities are excellent, and there’s a lovely walk to the restaurant, which serves great food. The staff were warm and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back.

Our lodge was amazing, and I can’t wait to return in September. The secluded hot tub was so relaxing, and our dog loved lounging on the decking in the lovely weather. We had excellent food on Saturday night and for Father’s Day lunch. Thanks to all the staff for their great work, especially the friendly guy who looked after the hot tub.

It was easy to reach, but I wouldn’t visit in winter. We were there recently with our dog, and the site wasn’t very well lit. Snow followed by rain left the road as sheet ice. Walking the dog was quite an event, and when we left I had to slide my car up the hill. For such a large site, I thought the roads would have been gritted, especially with buggies and tractors there.

This is a beautiful park in an excellent location, and a great base for exploring Northumberland. Cragside is a must-see. A shop on site would be useful for things you might have forgotten, though. The nearest supermarket is six miles away, and the closest small shop closes at 7pm.
