The room was small, but clean and had everything I needed, with free WiFi and breakfast included. Guests could also use a shared fridge and microwave. The carpet in the bathroom was a bit odd. I was staying there while looking at flats ahead of my move to Swindon, and the location worked really well, between the town centre and Old Town. The owner was friendly and very nice, so it was a positive stay.

As an IT contractor, I've tried a few local B&Bs, and this one is easily the best value for money. I really appreciated having an iron and ironing board in every room. At other places I've had to take my clothes down to a front room to iron, which gets tiresome, so having them right there is a real help. The breakfast was very good and cooked just right. I'd happily stay again.

The way the room was set up was so cool. We shared one room, but I could screen off my own area and have some space, which is hard to find when I travel with my parents, even as an adult. The whole inn was clean, and we could get fresh towels when we needed them. I've travelled a lot, and I don't say this lightly, but this is probably my favourite stay anywhere. Breakfast was delicious, and they were kind about working around our changing schedule. When we needed to get back to London for the airport, the manager helped us out too. I've never had hospitality this kind. Swindon was lovely as well, and some of our best food in England was here. London and Wales were both a quick trip away. Five stars for everything!

We found everything we needed in the room: WLAN, a microwave, an electric kettle and a TV. The room was a little small, as seems common in England, and the double bed felt a bit small for two adults. The bathroom and towels were clean, and there was a hair dryer. The welcome at The Lodge was very warm, and the service was just as friendly. A small shower problem was sorted out straight away, and the kind owner was easy to ask if we needed anything. The breakfast room is nicely arranged and has a lovely view. The continental breakfast was simple but enough, and the coffee was fresh. We were in Swindon for three days to visit the RIAT in Fairford. The bus station was a 15-minute walk away, which was handy for catching the Shuttle Bus to the Air Tattoo. There are also plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants in the nearby pedestrian area. The Lodge is a simple but nice bed and breakfast. Thanks for the hospitality.

The family room had plenty of space, a comfortable bed and a large private ensuite. Free WiFi was good, and there was a fridge and microwave too. Breakfast was included and absolutely fabulous. Tony is a master in the kitchen, and the meals came out piping hot within minutes. We spent two wonderful weeks at The Lodge Guest House. It's in a fantastic spot, about an eight-minute walk down the hill to town or five minutes up to Old Town, with public transport easy to reach. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and nothing felt like too much trouble. Anna-Marie was especially supportive while I dealt with a family crisis. She and Tony went above and beyond to look after us, and made it feel like a warm home away from home. I'd highly recommend staying here and hope I get to visit again!
