The Pelican

We needed somewhere for one night near Norwich, and the pelican inn guesthouse was better than I expected. Jackie was lovely and understanding when traffic made us late. The room was clean and nice, the bed really comfortable, and having fresh milk for tea and coffee is a big plus for me. Breakfast was lovely, and there was loads of it. A really pleasant stay, I’d recommend it.

The garden was calm and relaxing, and the area has great views. Inside, the room was lovely, clean, and tidy, and the shower was the best. The breakfast and lounge space had original features and felt lovely. Such a welcoming, friendly getaway. I’d stay here again. Thanks for a great stay.

The Pelican has a homely feel in its very old building, and we felt welcome from the start. We especially liked the relaxing farmhouse kitchen, where breakfast is self-service, and there’s a large outdoor seating area as well. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

A friend had stayed at The Pelican Inn a few times and loved it, so I booked a table for my birthday. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and I liked how the pub’s different areas mix old features with newer decor. The starters were lovely, and the mains even better. My steak came medium rare, just how I like it, which rarely happens, and the handmade chunky chips were to die for. I was full, but still tried a dessert, and it topped off the evening. I was even tempted to buy a couple of bottles from their ale store. Such a lovely evening, and I’d definitely recommend this pub to others.
