Globe Inn

The rooms were clean, comfortable and lovely, and breakfast was lovely too. We stayed with family and friends. The food at the wedding was hot, came in huge portions, and tasted amazing. Our guests loved their meals and the buffet for 50 was stunning. Thank you to the chef. We first approached the globe inn 18months ago while looking for a wedding reception venue and met manager Claire to discuss hiring the function room. From then until our special day, she was amazing, helpful and accommodating. I must have emailed her hundreds of times with questions, and she always replied so quickly. She even helped dress the room, and it looked breathtaking. Ben and his son, the in-house DJ, did a remarkable job. The lighting and sound were great, and everyone was on the dance floor. We put on a party at the Globe, and the function room was a lovely size, with its own bar and facilities. We had food arranged for 50 people, and it was the best spread I’ve seen, with loads to go around. They also catered for allergies, and the bar prices were good. The in-house DJ played music for all ages and was just as good. There’s plenty of parking too. No surprise this place gets booked months ahead, the staff were superb.

My room had plenty of storage, a comfortable bed and was nicely equipped. It’s a nice old pub, with lots of beers on tap and a good food selection. I had the steak and ale pie, which was packed with really nice steak.

Friendly staff, a welcoming atmosphere, and a very clean place. The prices are reasonable too.
