Gill welcomed us when we arrived in early February 2026 and made us feel at home while Brad was away. She looked after us so well at the beautiful Tavistock House Hotel that we’d never have guessed she didn’t run the business all the time. It’s an outstanding hidden gem, and will be my go-to place to stay in Tavistock when I visit. Many thanks again, Gill.

The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and breakfast was really nice. The whole place, including the rooms, is so tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend, 10/10.

Bradley made us feel so welcome during our two lovely evenings at the Tavistock House Hotel. The breakfast was delicious, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. The hotel is handy for reaching restaurants and bars on foot, and Tavistock even has a nightclub if that’s your thing. The attention to detail was superb. Would thoroughly recommend.

We loved staying in the Annexe, and the location made it easy to get to some really good restaurants. The Cornish Arms and the Annexe were two excellent restaurants. Our two nights were delightful, with everything spotless and well presented, and excellent facilities. I’m always pleased to find fresh milk in the minibar. Brad gave us a warm welcome and lots of useful information about the area. We’ll definitely be back.

I spent a few days here for work, and Brad was welcoming and couldn’t do enough for me. The room was spacious, clean, first class, and beautifully done, with everything you need. It’s perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful, wild Dartmoor National Park. Highly recommend for a night or even a fortnight.
