The staff were warm and kind as well as attentive and professional, and the service was some of the best I’ve ever had. Lian looked after us at dinner and breakfast and deserves a special mention, she was fantastic! Our room at the Bedford was cozy and welcoming, with everything we needed provided. We even had a visit from the neighbourhood cat Polo. Thank you, we’ll be back :)

I expected better and won’t be returning. The steak pie cost 26 pounds, then gravy was another 3.50 pounds, so 29 pounds for a steak and ale pie is madness. It came out dry, too. The roast of the day was fine, nothing special, and the potatoes weren’t good. Service was fine, but not the best for such a fancy hotel.

Be warned, this is an upmarket place with prices to match. Still, everything was excellent. The food is fancy but tasty, and the service is polite. Our room was large, comfortable, warm and quiet. There’s an accessible room on the ground floor, with a lift from the lower car park up to the ground floor. Parking is free for guests, though a space isn’t guaranteed.

The town is stunning and the location is great, with free parking. The food was amazing, the staff super friendly, and the prices reasonable. To be honest, it’s a little dated, though very clean.

The food was excellent, and the staff were very helpful. My room was comfortable and clean, with everything I needed. The hotel is perfectly placed for exploring the town.
