The hosts were wonderful and went out of their way to help us. Our rooms were beautiful and very clean, and breakfast had lots of choice and was lovely. Homemade biscuits in the room were a really nice extra. We'd definitely stay again.

This charming Grade II listed building has an interesting history going back to 1820, and only three double rooms. The owners run the place in a friendly, thoroughly professional way, with lovely attention to detail and nothing too much trouble. The beds were comfortable, and the room had a 40-inch smart TV, a fridge with complimentary soft drinks and water, and a full drinks facility. Service, breakfast, cleanliness and facilities all get top marks from me. I really recommend this B&B, a short walk, drive or bus ride from Teignmouth Town.

We had a very enjoyable stay with lovely hosts. The cottage was cosy and comfortable, and we were welcomed with homemade scones. There were homemade cookies in the room too, and they were delicious. The bed was very comfy, the shower felt luxurious, and breakfast was fresh and nicely presented, with homemade bread, marmalade and jam.

The garden was a real treat, with a tinkling fountain, lush plants, sweet-smelling roses and three separate places to sit outside, one for each room if you wanted. The B&B itself is a delight, tucked on the outskirts of Teignmouth on the road to Dawlish, with just three rooms. Ann and Andy had thought through the details and made us comfortable at every turn. Ann said they simply want things to be as they'd hope to find them when staying somewhere themselves. Even the small car park was carefully laid out, with lines for the three bays so a careless parker couldn't make things difficult for whoever arrived later. Inside, the Covid procedures were clear and efficient. Tables in the breakfast room were well spaced, and breakfast times staggered to avoid crowds. Our room wasn't large, but the size was fine, with a comfortable bed, good-quality linen and a bedside table on each side. It was very well equipped: a little sofa at the foot of the bed, a tower fan for warm nights, a kettle, proper cups and saucers, and a small fridge stocked with water, soft drinks and real milk for tea or coffee. There were homemade cookies too, delicious. The only snag seemed to be the awkwardly placed socket for my phone and tablet, until my OH spotted the four-device charging dock on the bedside table. Problem solved. The bathroom was spacious, with modern fittings and tiles, nice toiletries marked “Minadab”, and properly large towels. There's a quiet extractor and even a can of air-freshener spray. Everything, in the bathroom and elsewhere, was spotless. We chose breakfast from the menu the night before. We went out at 7.30 for a lovely walk along the lanes and seawall, and the Minadab is well placed for walking. In the afternoon, we took the Eastcliff walk down to Teignmouth. We came back for our booked 9 a.m. breakfast; drinks arrived straight away, followed about 5 or 6 minutes later by freshly cooked food. It was all delicious and made with good-quality ingredients. The napkins were cloth, not paper, and both the marmalade and raspberry jam were homemade. Highly recommended.
