White Hart Cafe Bar & Bistro

The staff were really friendly and the service was excellent. The hotel is right by the river, with paid parking about 400m away. Rooms are spacious, with good storage, comfortable beds, decent heating and good bathrooms. I'd give it five stars if the food were a little better. It was OK, just not quite at that level.

We came in with a group of 10 for Sunday lunch this week. The service was some of the best I've had in a long time: the young staff were vibrant, attentive, funny and brilliant, with a great sense of humour. We didn't stay at the hotel, so I can't comment on that. I chose the venison Sunday lunch. It was good value and I enjoyed it, though it wasn't the ultimate Sunday lunch. I hadn't tried venison before and didn't realise it would come kind of reconstituted. I'd heard good reviews about the beef.

The food was amazing, much better than the good meal we'd been told to expect. My partner, our two sons and I went to the Hart to try somewhere different. We had fast, warm and welcoming service, and the servers were polite, helpful and understanding about my son's lactose intolerance. They advised us what was lactose-free and checked with the chef about possible changes and substitutions. There is seating indoors and outdoors, with a great view of Ironbridge and the river. It was a 10/10 experience, great value, and the people were amazing. If you're local or just in the area, it's definitely worth coming back.

We only popped in to dry off and weren't staying, but ended up ordering Sunday lunch for two. It was amazing! The staff were polite and very attentive. I'd return any time I'm in Ironbridge.
