The hotel was lovely, the food was great and varied, and the staff were incredible. We had the best time on a Traitors-themed weekend. The challenges were thoughtfully planned and so much fun, keeping the whole experience exciting from start to finish. Such a memorable weekend, we'd definitely go back!

We came for a birthday Traitors weekend and it was BRILLIANT! Adam and Simon are fantastic, and the whole experience was faultless. The food was top notch and the rooms were lovely and comfy. Highly recommend, everyone needs to do a Traitors weekend.

The decor was beautiful and the bedroom very comfortable. We loved the warm welcome, the chats, the service, dinner and breakfast. Everything exceeded our expectations and made our stay memorable. Thanks! P.S. the cocktail rocked :)

The owners have made the Hunting Lodge feel so welcoming since it reopened. We’ve had breakfast there twice now, and both times it was delicious and really good quality. The owner’s a friendly, lovely chap. We’ll be back regularly when we’re in Tenbury.

The second night, we could have moved into the hotel, but by then we didn’t want to pack everything and relocate again. We stayed in the accommodation they’d put us in because it was too late to find somewhere else. The hotel didn’t tell us about the overbooking until the day we arrived, even though the booking had been confirmed. How did they not know sooner? We booked through Booking.com for my friend’s 30th birthday, based on the hotel we saw there. Instead, on arrival day, she got a call saying the hotel was full and we’d be moved to a place “just over the road.” It was actually a drive away, and they hadn’t sent us any pictures beforehand. The alternative was a huge letdown. It was shabby and tackily decorated, the bathroom smelled awful, there was no shampoo or conditioner and just one toilet roll. The TV didn’t work, and with no mobile signal we couldn’t contact the Hunting Lodge for help. We felt dumped there and forgotten. When we asked at the hotel for a taxi, they said local taxis were expensive and unreliable, then offered to drive us to Tenbury Wells for £20 for a nine-minute journey. That seemed unreasonable, so we said no. It wasn’t fair to book one place on Booking.com and end up with something so different. We were really disappointed with the accommodation and the staff’s attitude. The whole thing fell well short of what we expected for a special occasion.
