The pub was almost empty, yet our burger and hunter's chicken took 35 minutes. The chicken was dry with hardly any BBQ sauce, and the burger salad looked nearly brown, so I was glad I didn't eat it. I worried it might make me ill, as the picture shows. We paid £28 for two portions and drinks, but the food was dry and the burger was basically just meat in a bun. Poor quality and small portions for that price. I won't be back.

In the centre of Andover, The White Hart is a lovely place to eat in an old building that was once a hotel. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Andover.

The desserts were well worth saving room for: brownie, meringue and Jaffa cake tart, all with really creamy ice cream. The lasagne was the best I've had in ages, and the garlic bread, crunchy salad with just the right amount of dressing, and crisp outside, fluffy inside chips were great too. We also tried a mix of Sunday roasts and pub classics, and all the food was lovely. We popped in while visiting family in Andover and felt welcome as soon as we walked in. The staff were so lovely, and the place was warm, cosy and clean. The Easter decorations were gorgeous, with fairy lights and colourful flowers on the tables. I hope we make it a regular stop when we visit family. Big compliments to the chef and everyone at the White Hart. I'd highly recommend it.

Breakfast was incredible, plentiful and served piping hot, which was a refreshing change. Dinner was excellent too, with plenty to satisfy our appetites. Sarah looked after us brilliantly, accommodating and attentive, and greeted everyone with the same enthusiastic smile. We stayed one night while visiting the local theatre. The rooms were clean, spacious and suited our needs. Would definitely recommend.

The pub food was very good quality, and hotel guests get 20% off. The hotel is just two minutes from Andover's main street, with free parking on site. Our room was huge and well equipped, with a comfy bed, hairdryer, extra pillows, tea and coffee facilities, nice towels and shower gel. Room service and free WiFi are available. It's an old building, so it's quaint, with some winding corridors adding character. There is no lift. I'd recommend it.
