Easterside Farm bed & Breakfast

We’ve returned to Easterside Farm many times while Sarah, Alan and their daughters have been running this lovely farmhouse B&B. The views from all around the house are breathtaking, and it’s a great base for exploring North Yorkshire. April lambing season is a special extra on this working farm. Sarah makes breakfast a real treat, from homemade granola, jams and preserves (some available to buy and take home) to a full English made with locally sourced ingredients. It’s hearty and exceptional, and she’s happy to cater for dietary requirements. There are homemade cakes or biscuits on the tea tray too. A cosy, special place to stay.

We come back every Easter, and it’s become my happy place. It’s a working sheep farm, and the family make it an easy place to visit with children. They’ve lent us a baby monitor, let the kids stroke the horse and bottle-feed lambs, and even hold kittens. The phone signal is limited, which is great for spending proper time together. Breakfast includes meat from the local butcher and eggs from the farm chickens, with fresh cakes each day. Hubby often orders the homemade chocolate truffles, and we always book a Sunday meal for the best Yorkshire puddings with our roast. The whole family is so accommodating. A perfect little family getaway.

We had a lovely stay and will be back. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, with freshly baked treats in the room and more goodies and fresh eggs available to buy. Sarah was a very friendly host, and her hearty breakfast is a great start to the day. The farmhouse is charming, with wonderful views in a stunning setting.

It was so peaceful at Easterside Farm, and we slept really well. The rooms were clean and quaint, and Sarah was kind and helpful. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. The farm sits among lovely countryside, with rolling hills, sheep and cottages all around. I'd happily go back.
