We stayed the night and finished a great day with a meal at the pub. There was a nice atmosphere, with locals enjoying a quiet pint, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The lamb shank was the biggest I’ve ever seen! Go here, you won’t be disappointed.

A hearty meal by the fire is hard to beat. The beer is great, the pub is warm when it needs to be, and the welcome is just as warm. Service, friendliness, and food are unbeatable. It’s a lovely place to relax.

The bar has a cosy, quirky feel and a fabulous atmosphere. The owner, I assume, was incredibly welcoming. We had bar food, including the best steak pie I’ve ever tasted, and the breakfasts were enormous.

The beer is top notch, a proper pint in a proper pub, and the locals were friendly too. The staff were helpful and welcoming, and the landlord went above and beyond, even offering us a lift to the wedding venue so we could collect our car if we wanted to drink and taxi home. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. The food was amazing and very good value, and the service was just as good. We loved it!!!

Breakfast was hot and big enough for the mightiest appetite, a perfect start to our day out. We stayed two nights in a comfy room, slept really well, and had hot drinks available to make. The location is quiet, which is part of the appeal, and the hosts were friendly, with a high standard of comfort and food. We had dinner one evening, a fabulous steak pie with veg and a generous portion. We didn’t stay long enough to try the fortnightly pie night, which is open to residents and locals, but I’d guess it would be a great success. The place is quirky and seems popular with locals and visitors alike. The hosts welcome them all.
