Woodlands Farm

Paul was a wonderful host, very interesting and welcoming, and made me feel like a VIP. The space is huge, with high ceilings, immaculate, and finished to a very high standard. It has all the mod cons you could need, and feels like a luxury option with no expense spared. Breakfast was five-star: great ingredients, delicious, generous portions, and Michelin-level presentation. I could also charge my Tesla there. The price for all of this was very reasonable. I’ll be back!

We wanted to get away from everything, and this place was just right. The rooms were very clean and well equipped, and the bed was really comfortable. Paul was always there when we needed him and gave us helpful suggestions for places to eat and visit. His wife Amy made an excellent breakfast, and it kept me going until teatime on a busy day. I couldn’t fault the stay and will definitely return.

Paul was warm and attentive, and breakfast was cooked just right with local produce. We stayed in a lovely, huge apartment with beautiful oak furniture, Robert Thompson I think. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable. We’d definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

I always ask myself whether I’d stay somewhere again. Here, the answer is definitely yes. We booked all four rooms for four nights with three friends while walking in the area. The accommodation was clean, spacious and comfortable, and the standard was exceptionally high. Breakfast had a good choice of quality options, and I thought the packed lunch was very good value. The farmhouse is in a beautiful, peaceful spot on the edge of Thimbleby.
