Villa Farm Cottage

I picked this B&B for the fridge and microwave, which turned out to be really handy. Petra gave me such a warm welcome, and the room had that lovely mix of modern comforts and charm. It’s quiet, beautiful and full of character, with a guest book full of kind notes from other visitors. I travel all over the country for work and stay in hotels and B&Bs all the time, but this is my favourite so far. I ate dinner watching the sun go down over fields where horses and cows were grazing, with the odd pheasant running about. The WiFi worked perfectly when I was working in the evening, too. I’d strongly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed. Thanks so much, Petra!

The room was lovely and had all the facilities we needed, and Petra made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious, especially the fruit salad and mini muffins. We loved our visit, and it sounds like a perfect place for a relaxing break. Very much recommended.

Petra and her partner were fantastic hosts, always courteous and helpful, and the hotel was very clean. My friend Apple had described it as home from home, and that really fits. The highlight of each day was the amazing breakfast. Thank you for making our stay memorable. We were touched by your warmth and grateful for all the attention to detail.

I came across this place by chance and it turned out to be a really great stay. The lounge, bedroom and shower room were all spacious and comfortable, and the location was very quiet. Petra, a wonderful host, served an excellent home-cooked breakfast right in my room. I’m already planning to return.
