Julie & Kevan were lovely hosts, really helpful too. We wish we’d stayed longer. The room was sumptuous, and the house is beautiful in a stunning area. We also loved the breakfast. We paid £30 extra per person for the three course evening meal, which was delicious and excellent value.

We loved breakfast in the conservatory, admiring the garden and the views, and the salmon was delicious, of course. The owners were friendly and helpful, and our room was comfortable with excellent facilities. We even enjoyed watching Bake Off in the cosy communal lounge. The place is remote, but not hard to find, and the views are amazing. Sheep and highland cows are right next door. You can book a three course dinner, or get a hot evening meal down the road at Strathy Inn if you don’t want three courses. We were pleasantly surprised by the high standards given how remote it is. A real hidden gem and a stop I’d highly recommend for anyone travelling the NC500.

Bramble was just great! I loved the decor, with all its wonderfully weird arrangements and sculptures. The hosts gave us a great welcome, and the location is amazing, with cliff edge views across to the horizon and islands. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s worth it for an ideal experience on the edge of the north coast.

We only stayed one night while travelling around Scotland, but this is a lovely place to stop. We felt very welcome, and the room and facilities were beautiful. The lounge and dining areas were just as impressive. Dinner was exceptional, and the continental breakfast went way beyond what we expected. Don’t miss it!

The hosts were lovely and it’s such a cosy place, especially in cold weather. We even saw the Northern lights from here. Breakfast was 10/10, the cherry on top ❤️
