It was my first visit, after the usual canal walk from Tiverton, and the fajita I ordered, which the waitress said was popular, left me a little disappointed. It came sizzling in a hot skillet, looked like it should be full of flavour, and the main portion could easily feed two. But it was really bland, and adding salt didn’t help much. Maybe my dish was a one-off, since it seems plenty of other people enjoyed their meals. The presentation was very good. I’m sharing this as honest, hopefully useful feedback for the owner. I still think it’s worth visiting and trying for yourself.

A lovely country pub with a friendly landlord and pleasant staff. It’s clean and well presented, with good food and a nice range of ales and ciders. Dogs are welcome, and there’s a great outdoor area, both covered and open, with a really lovely display of shrubs and flowers. Well worth a visit.

We dropped into The Globe Inn by chance, and it turned into a memorable meal. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were welcoming, attentive and made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, cooked just right and full of flavour. The whole visit exceeded what we expected. Next time we’ll come back on purpose. Highly recommended!

We booked a private room for eight adults, three young children, a baby and two dogs, and it worked out really well. Everyone wanted the carvery, and we all enjoyed it. There were five meat choices, generous amounts, and a great selection of tasty vegetables. We’d all be happy to go again.

We’d never been before, but will certainly return. It worked well for our family get-together, being halfway between our homes and easy to reach from the M5. We had a pleasant walk along the canal first, then felt welcome at the pub. Everything felt just right: the noise level, lighting, heating from a lovely log burner and comfortable chairs. The food was delicious, hot and just the right size portion. Service was attentive without being too much. Thanks for a lovely afternoon.
