We chose this lovely venue because we were going to a wedding just a few minutes away, so the location worked perfectly. Our two-bedroom apartment was clean and tidy, with a sitting room, kitchen, and lovely views. The only reason I'm taking off a star is the hot water. We had none for the whole stay. Staff said they'd get it fixed, but they didn't. We had to take cold showers on the wedding morning, and the next day I couldn't bring myself to shower at all. They also promised to follow up with a message, but it never arrived.

The views are fantastic and the setting is beautiful. It's a special little place, with really spacious rooms and all the facilities you need. I'd highly recommend it.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with fresh local produce, including eggs from the garden, plenty of coffee, and a lovely setting. My partner and I stayed one night in the Cawsand Suite and had a brilliant time. The house is so well cared for, from the spotless rooms to the decor. Everything was comfortable and well equipped. Even with the Covid measures, it still felt like a home from home. Thanks for a lovely stay, we'll be back!

The walk home from Polhawn Fort was really straightforward, even in the dark. We had a wonderful weekend in Rame, and the welcoming family had the rooms set up beautifully with everything we needed and more. We've already told friends about Rame Barton. They're coming back for another wedding at Polhawn Fort in June!

We were in the area for a wedding at the nearby fort, just a five-minute walk along a public footpath. The owners were lovely, and the guest house itself was beautiful, with a huge room that had everything we could need. Breakfast was made fresh to order and was delicious. A beautiful house in a lovely location, highly recommended.
